Same-Day Dentures – Available by Appointment and Walk-in Service
For your convenience, our practice takes appointments. Treatment on a walk-in basis may also be available, but check with the practice to confirm their policies. If you are interested in receiving SAME-DAY SERVICE on a walk-in basis, you will need to register with the front desk staff as close to opening time as possible. You should also be prepared to be available for the dentist and their staff throughout the day. Please note that some practices require appointments for same-day service for immediate dentures.
Extractions, repairs, and reline services may be provided without an appointment, and often with same-day service. Remember, certain health conditions and certain medications you may be taking will determine whether extractions can be performed the same day. Contact the practice for complete information.
When you arrive, you will be asked to complete a Patient History form so that important medical and dental health information will be available for the dentist and their staff. This will assist the dentist in evaluating an appropriate course of treatment for you.
IMPORTANT: If you are taking prescription medications, please bring a list of those medications with you. You will also need to indicate any over-the-counter medications you may be taking regularly, such as aspirin. Feel free to call the local practice if you have any questions.
Impressions for Dentures
Denture impressions for same-day service are usually taken first thing in the morning and sent to the lab. The lab can then immediately begin fabricating your dentures so that they will be ready for you that afternoon. Most practices are able to take impressions throughout the day, but those dentures will not be delivered the same day.
If you don’t need same-day service, please inform the staff so they can make other arrangements that will be convenient for you.
Tooth Extractions & Other Dental Services
Extractions are usually performed in the late morning or early afternoon. Repairs and relines are usually started in the morning, and adjustments are usually scheduled for late morning. Check with the practice for more information about their treatment times and policies.
Delivery of Dentures
The delivery of dentures occurs in the afternoon. The staff will indicate when you should return to receive your denture. Again, YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE YOUR DENTURE IN THE ORDER THAT YOU WERE SEEN IN THE MORNING. The fabrication of your denture is being done efficiently so we can keep our fees affordable.
If you experience any difficulties with your denture, please inform the staff so they can make recommendations about follow-up care. We’re here to help!
